Oil Painting Class with Elaine Dalcher

Join Elaine and a small group of beginning to intermediate painters for an oil painting class on Thursday nights! Our focus is on creating a cooperative, non-competitive, friendly environment that allows you to:

 

         • Start at your own level

         • Work at your own pace

         • Benefit from weekly instruction

         • Participate in weekly critiques

         • Benefit from small classes (limit of 8 students per session)

                                                 • Paint and have fun…….really!

 

 CLASS INFORMATION:

TIME • Intermediate / Advanced Class:  6:00 – 9:00 PM on Thursday evenings

         • NEW Beginning Class:  Time to be determined

         • 6 to 8-week sessions September through May

PLACE • Elaine Dalcher Studio at Tanglefoot Classroom

PRICE • $25 per night

HISTORY OF OIL PAINTING CLASS WITH ELAINE DALCHER

Elaine Dalcher has been teaching art for 35 years at all levels. She has recently retired from her teaching position with the Grand Rapids Public Schools and is enthusiastic about spending more time in her studio. Five years ago, Elaine was asked if she would offer a studio painting class.  It was at that time, in 2005, that she began teaching a class to adults in her studio. The class has been running successfully ever since, offering adults the opportunity to paint in a studio environment with instruction as needed.  In fact, the class has been full to capacity with a waiting list!  It is our hope that by adding one more class, those on the waiting list will be able to start class this fall!

Oil Painting Class is such a wonderful place to be - the space, and all us eager painters.
